I believe it is due to a known bug in qt6.7.0.  It is expected to be
addressed in the next version of octave release.  In the meantime, using
gnuplot with qt terminal works for me.

setenv("GNUTERM",'qt font "Arial"')

graphics_toolkit("gnuplot")
