Hi,

I am porting a matlab application to Octave and most of the core library
was easy but the UI is written in Java Swing.

How do I create swing components on the Java event dispatch thread?
SwingUtilities invokeAndWait seems like the most likely function but then I
need to pass in an implementation of runnable which I can't do with the
current Java/Octave interface.

If Java Swing is not a good option what GUIs options are recommended?
