GLPlot: a tentative replacement for gnuplot

Hi,

I think this could be of interest here. I've recently started the GLPlot
project (http://glplot.sourceforge.net/), which is a visualization
program and library based on Gtk+ and OpenGL (through GtkGLExt). One of
my goals is to be able to replace gnuplot in Octave as a plotting tool.
GLPlot is still in very early development of course, but it's already
able to plot simple things, handle multiple windows and multiple
sub-plots per window. If anyone is interested, I could really use some
help in two areas: OpenGL and Octave functions for interfacing with the
program (rewriting the plot, subplot, hold, ... functions for GLPlot).

Here are a couple "features" of GLPlot (compared to gnuplot):
   - Handling of multiple figures with the same application
   - Each window has a graphical menu/toolbar
   - All data can be sent directly to standard in (eventually in binary)
   - Also usable as a library - so I can integrate it with Overflow
(http://freespeech.sourceforge.net/overflow.html) too
   - Designed with Octave in mind

Anyway, I'm interested in any help or feedback.
