xDE based on Eclipse

Development Environment for Octave

A coworker has developed an editor for Matlab. Now he is thinking about to
port this to Octave. The editor is a plug-in for Eclipse and so a lot of
programming features like syntax highlight online-code-check debugging mode
and so on are available.
The question now is if anyone else is doing something similar. If yes, he
won't port his plug-in to Octave. If no, an Octave-Development-Environment
will be available soon.
