drawnow

Hi,
    I am new to octave...and matlab for that matter and I'm currently 
porting some matlab code over to octave that uses drawnow. As I 
understand, and have witnessed, this is not implemented yet.

I gather this is a project in the works? What is the time frame for 
completion(a complete wild guess will do) and how can I help? (I'm 
proficient in C++ which as i understand octave is written in)
