Hi Ole

Surprise! I am still alive and finally (as of this weekend) have an internet
connection again. I do intend to rejoin the discussion (and also finally make
an initial release of KV) and also to put forward my viewpoint of the generic
Octave plotting interface.

I haven't really read the whole discussion here about toolkits and suchlike,
but what I would like to say is that my original goal for the Octave plotting
interface was that all visualisation projects should be able to use what they
want without interfering with each other. The only common functionality would
be within Octave itself. The chosen vis app would be an environment variable
in Octave or something else equally simple.

I am going on holiday for a week starting friday, but I will be back
afterwards and will rejoin the discussion!

Speak to you all soon

Nic
