Meanwhile I switched to the native source of Octave, I did:

cd ~mkdir hgcd hg hg clone https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octavecd
~/hg/octave
Display branches:
hg branches
Change branche from default → stable
hg update stable

./bootstrap

mkdir ~/builds/Native_octave_stable
cd ~/builds/Native_octave_stable

~/hg/octave/configure

make -j8

Error is the same. Any ideas? (I work on Ubuntu 20.04)
