Daniel,

The problem is that gprolog 1.2.19 doesn't compile with gcc 4.0.x.  See the 
bug I reported in August of this year: 
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-prolog/2005-08/msg00000.html.  My 
workaround was/is to compile with an earlier version of gcc (i.e. gcc 
3.4.x).
