I'm aware of that. Fortunately, we do not use Simultaneous-Use on our most busy radius-servers, so I can safely turn this feature off. It might be a good idea to issue a warning in case the Simultaneous-Use attribute is used in conjunction with "system-accounting no" (or even a crash at startup). The least we could do is write good documentation for it. I'm pretty convinced that the feature should be added to the server, since it has been _very_ benificial for our overloaded radius systems. This afternoon I activated the patched server on one of our radius servers. This one has had loads up to 5, due to the system accounting. We have been able to bring that back in the last weeks to 1.5 by using a cron job which periodically emptied the utmp and wtmp files, so going through them would cost less. I bet you can guess from our load graph for today (which is linked below) at what time I activated the patch. Give it a try... http://home.gitaar.net/load-radius.png As you can see, the server load has gone slightly down by disabling the system accounting. Regards, -- Maurice Makaay
