Hi,

We running gnu-radius with the sql option, this server sits behind a
server running free radius for the @domain functionality (our upstream
isp), they then have Ascend MAX RAS's. The problem i'm getting is when
an ISDN (digital) user dials into our upstream ISP, their server picks
up the password perfectly, but on our side it comes out corrupt. We've
identified one type of modem in this country (South Africa) which is
not compatible with the @ in the username... but not one of our ISDN
clients can dial in.

Btw. Straight ppp from linux works like a dream, but windows... etc is
a no-go.

I first though it was pap/chap that was causing this, but i can't find
any evidence to back this up so i can confront our upstream isp, who
says their side is 100% ok. The corrupt password looks like some sort of
MD5's hashed password/username... check below....
