Split is proportion

Hello,

I have a question about resizing in screen on ubuntu 12.04 (Screen version 4.00.03jw4 (FAU) 2-May-06).

Previously to split screen in some proportion it was possible to split it 3 times and close one of regions, like this:
[        ]
[    |   ]
[  | |   ]
[  |     ]

But now splits are autoresized automatically so I wonder if you are aware of any workaround for this.
