Mhm. I think you want to use multiuser-mode. You have to do several
things to do this. First you have to turn on multiuser-mode in screen.
Then you have to allow root to connect to the session.

Play a little with multiuser-mode interactivly. It's a little
complicated in the beginning.

Afterwards you should be able to do something like:

screen -S username/screenname -X command

Not quite sure although whether -S takes a username. Just try it. If it
doesn't I even whould consider this a bug... :-)

Sorry for not being very specific. But play a little with screen. It's
scripting capabilities are quite interesting. Also there are many points
which could be a lot better. But I will be still now. I am programmer
and should fix them, if I like. But I don't have enough time at hand
right now. Well. Screen rox nevertheless! :-)
