I have a terminal that expects to receive characters in CP437 encoding, but screen is sending them in ISO-8859-1. Is there a way to get screen to encode to CP437? I had a look at the sncoding command. It seems to do what I want, but won't output to CP437. Is there more that screen does with character encodings than just hand the names to iconv? (In other words, does it need to be as restrictive with the charsets it will accept?) On a side note, what's the preferred way of submitting bug reports for screen? I've seen bug reports on this list go unanswered. I'd emailed [email protected] with a bug report, but have gotten no response. -- ...computer contrarian of the first order... / http://aperiodic.net/phil/ PGP: 026A27F2 print: D200 5BDB FC4B B24A 9248 9F7A 4322 2D22 026A 27F2 --- -- cal 9 1752 ---- --- -- Yahoo!
