Thanks for the report, but I suspect that diagnostic is coming
from code that is not part of the GNU coreutils package.
Perhaps it's coming from code added by RedHat?
You might want to report it to them.

In the future, please mention the version of the tool in question.
For most GNU tools, you should include the output of `su --version'.
