Problem coreutils & sh-utils {uname -p}....

I am using coreutils-v5.2.1on Linux x86 and x86_64. When I use "uname
-p", it does not show any processor type. Instead it gives me "unknown"
as the output. I tried the same with the sh-utils-v2.0 and the behavior
remained the same.

However coreutils-v4.5.3 is working fine. Can you please help ?
