stow exclusion list/pattern support

Hey all, I don't know if stow is alive or dead but I was wondering about this. 
On the patches page there are two patches, http://savannah.gnu.org/patch/?group=stow

One implements a --regex option, and another a --ignore option. Has anyone tried 
these? Is there any chance there will be a new stow release which includes these 
patches or similar functionality?
