Help with conflict between gdb-7.11 and binutils-2.26

Greetings!

I've been happily using GNU Stow v2.2.2 for a while but tonight I had
a problem and have been unable to figure out how to get things
working.

A couple of months ago I downloaded GNU gdb v7.11 and installed it via
stow.  Everything is working fine.

Tonight I downloaded GNU Binutils v2.26.  Compilation and "make
install" to my stow directory (/usr/local/stow/binutils-2.26) worked
find.  However when I issued "sudo stow binutils-2.26" I received an
error about a conflict, included below.
