Checking installation status of packages

Hello,

I=E2=80=99ve been using stow for many years now.  Thanks a lot for this nice
little tool!  For a long time I=E2=80=99ve been wondering: shouldn=E2=80=99=
t there be
a way to check the installation status of packages in the current stow
directory?  Something like

$ stow --status
package_A installed
package_B installed
package_C partial
package_D uninstalled

I=E2=80=99m a bit puzzled, because I couldn=E2=80=99t find any discussion a=
bout anything
similar (on this list or elsewhere).

Am I overseeing anything?
