tr -s SET1 not mentioned on man page

The  tr(1) man page and --help mentions forgot to mention SET1 for the
-s option.  Maybe they should mention SET2 too.
By the way, even on the Info page, why this does what it does might
not be clear:
$ echo aaaabbbbb|tr -s a b
b
