Good evening,
today I discovered a gap in the German translation of man grep when
thinking of the effect of grep -iPod recursive foobar / (see
https://plus.google.com/u/0/103909259633844166957/posts/jZyQoMCSmWP ).
The paragraph:
-F, --fixed-strings
Interpret PATTERN as a list of fixed strings, separated by
newlines, any of which is to be matched. -P, --perl-regexp Interpret
PATTERN as a Perl regular expression.
(see http://linux.about.com/od/commands/l/blcmdl1_grep.htm )
was translated to:
-F, --fixed-strings
Interpretiere MUSTER als Liste feststehender Zeichenketten, die
durch Zeilenumbruch getrennt sind. Für einen Treffer muss min‐
destens eine der Zeichenketten passen.
in 26. Oktober 2002,
but has to be:
-F, --fixed-strings
druck in Perl.
I'm using Sabayon 8 right now and the recent version of grep I think
(see http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/grep ).
$ grep --version

I would appreciate if you could correct the missing sentence.
