I was able to use "cdrdao copy" to make a new copy of the VCD and I can play that with mplayer/xine, but I assume cdrdao copied the data warts and all, so vcdxrip had problems with the copy as well. What I'm really looking for is to extract the mpeg file and just keep that on my hard disk, so that I can play it without using my CD drive. Thanks for any pointers, Mandar.
