new developer release, please test

just uploaded 4.9.0-20160402. Should be up on the alpha server in a few
minutes (unless something goes wrong).

It seems that "make pdf" is still broken because of the texinfo changes.

Getting closer to a 4.9.0 release, so feel free to test it and send us
feedback ;)
