My experience with chessclub.com is a little limited as I never bothered paying for a full account but, the command I always used to launch it was: xboard -ics -icshost 207.99.83.228 -icshelper timestamp I don't know about the -telnet -telnetProgram options. Perhaps they are obsolete/unmaintained? They are definitely redundant.
