well, we need to know if it is Chromium or DMX that is crashing... because if it is DMX you are on the wrong mailing list =). It should be fairly easy to tell. Now, Xdmx does not support XVideo, or MIT-SHM, ergo those video playback methods are not available with it. Perhaps you can find a way to disable the movie (or play it back via another method). Secondly, I have not heard of anyone using Chromium to play either game. Chromium supports OpenGL 1.5 as well as a number of extensions. Try to find a list of the specific extensions and OpenGL version Doom3 requires. (or get an error message from Doom3 that will tell you about a missing requirement). With this information, we will be able to more accurately assess the difficulty involved in getting it working.
