your current working doesn't matter if you have the correct environment variables. try adding these other exports: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=~/cr-1.9/lib/Linux add this to the PATH export Brian suggested below. the crserver and crappfaker are in ~/cr-1.9/bin.
