Solving the SPAM issue on the CS site

Hi all,

You may be aware or not but we're having a lot of problems with spam on the
CS site.
We tried captcha's but apparently these are now being solved automatically
so that
is no longer a solution. So we think that at this moment the best solution
will be
a moderation system so that before a new account is accepted a moderator
must
first approve it. It is annoying and will slow down bug reporting by new
users
but I see no other way :-(

In addition to the moderation we also need to get rid of all current spam
users that
are already in the system. To do that I propose that we start clean.
Everyone who has
an account on the CS site that he wants to keep can send me a mail. These
accounts
will NOT be deleted. ALL other accounts will be deleted at the end of this
month.
