Hi,

Small updates:

Fixed, but I still get the llvm-gcc related errors.

Finally as a last thing i wonder if objC has the ABI defined, in that case

I used gcc-mp-4.6 / g++-mp-4.6 as gcc / g++ and clang
(/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/usr/bin/clang)
as
cc / c++, but to the same result.

Did any of the Xcode versions you tried come with a 'gcc_select' command?

I read macports used to have a command like this, but in the newer version
it got replaced with: sudo port select --set gcc gcc_version (
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/837992/update-gcc-on-osx).
However, if I do:

sudo /opt/local/bin/port select --set gcc llvm-gcc42

I get:

Selecting 'llvm-gcc42' for 'gcc' succeeded. 'llvm-gcc42' is now active.

but upon running gcc -v I get the output from gcc-mp46. I am not sure if
setting links manually for gcc/g++ might have messed-up something here.

I am downloading XCode 2.5 and XCode 3.1.2 for tomorrow "experiments" and
will do a full XCode 4 remove (
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5255959/how-to-fully-remove-xcode-4).

Cheers,
Alex.
