Just to make sure, did you use 'python svnmerge.py merge -S /path_to_repo' ?
If so what types of merging errors did you got (conflicts or plain errors
and what do they say) ?

If you want to generate MSVC project files you have to use: jam msvcgen.
For this to work you have to install MSYS and a Perl distribution for it (such
as ActivePerl) and the TemplateToolkit library.
