You don't actually want to be building X11 on OSX. The --with-x flag is a semi-hidden way to tell configure not to build any of the Cocoa-specific components (that is, it provides an escape mechanism for building Darwin-only, but you shouldn't be doing that). -- ES On Sunday, May 20, 2012, Alexandru Voicu wrote: > Actually the X11 dependency might be an (the) issue. > > I get the following error for xwin.csbundle: > > > LinkPlugin xwin.csbundle > could not find Xaw7 in search path > ... > ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture i386 > collect2: ld returned 1 exit status > > export MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.4 > g++ -o xwin.csbundle > ./out/macosx/debug/plugins/video/canvas/xwindow/xwindow.o > ./out/macosx/debug/plugins/video/canvas/xwindow/xalert_xaw/alert.o > ./out/macosx/debug/plugins/video/canvas/xwindow/xalert_xaw/makeform.o > ./out/macosx/debug/plugins/video/canvas/xwindow/plugin_impl.o -lc -lm -lmx > -ldl -L/usr/local/lib -g3 -Wl,-framework,AppKit -Wl,-framework,Foundation > ./out/macosx/debug/libs/libcrystalspace-2.1.a -L/opt/local/lib -lz > -lXxf86vm `CC="gcc" CFLAGS="-pipe -Wmost -Wno-unknown-pragmas > -fvisibility=hidden -march=prescott -mfpmath=sse -I/usr/local/include > -force_cpusubtype_ALL -fno-common -ffunction-sections -fdata-sections -g3 > -DCS_DEBUG" /bin/sh ./bin/relaytool --out-dir > ./out/macosx/debug/plugins/video/canvas/xwindow --relay Xaw7 --relay Xaw > -lc -lm -lmx -ldl -L/usr/local/lib -L/usr/X11/lib -lXaw7 -lXt -lX11 > -L/usr/X11/lib -lX11 -lXt -lX11` -lXcursor -lXrender -L/usr/X11/lib -lX11 > -lXext -lc -lm -lmx -ldl -L/usr/local/lib -g3 -Wl,-framework,AppKit > -Wl,-framework,Foundation > > Xaw7 is in the /usr/X11/lib along with X11. > I've tried setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH and DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH, but had the same > result. > > Thanks, > Alex. > > On Sun, May 20, 2012 at 10:23 PM, Alexandru Voicu < > [email protected]> wrote: > > sudo ./configure --enable-debug with_x11=/usr/X11 -without-assimp > -without-curl -without-python > > And the configure recognizes the following packages (are there any > required ones not present ?): > > Found > cg (rendering) > freetype2 (other) > jpeg (image) > openal (audio) > opengl (rendering) > png (image) > x11 (rendering) > zlib (other) > > Cheers, > Alex. > > On Sun, May 20, 2012 at 9:43 PM, Weltall <[email protected]> wrote: > > what are you passing at configure? > > > 2012/5/20 Alexandru Voicu <[email protected]> > > I was trying to figure out if my dependencies are the same architecture as > my executable, using the *file* command. > > While doing that I have noticed that for walktest I have: > > file /usr/CS/walktest.app/Contents/MacOS/*walktest* > > /usr/CS/walktest.app/Contents/MacOS/walktest: Mach-O *executable* *i386* > * > * > > but for vfs.csbundle, I also have: > > file /usr/CS/*vfs.csbundle* > > /usr/CS/vfs.csbundle: Mach-O *executable* *i386* > * > * > > Shouldn't this be *Mach-O dynamically linked shared library i386 *rather > than *executable* *i386 *? > > Moreover, I did this for most of the libraries, but for some I don't know > which are used by CS by default.
