There is already a CEL counterpart to csisland: cellifesim (for 'CEL life
simulator').

Some students here at UCL have worked on it last year and have used
behavior trees to implement an interaction within the entities of
YoFrankie (Frankie's, sheeps, rams, rats, piranahs).

And the third goal of the GSOC project of Sam about Artificial
Intelligence is to improve that precise demo.
