"But a 3D designer may not totaly agree" Well that's what I work on mostly and I was the one who brought it up :) Seriously even a uber huge complex level rendered at like 20 lmdensity takes only 20 mins, and you can render it at like 1 or 2 in <90 seconds as a preview.
