  Hello,

I am the one who sent you the website mockup some months ago. I
apologize for not having further contributed as I planned to, but life
got somewhat in the way. However, now I have more time again and would
help updating the website's look and content again.

As far as I can remember, the feedback to my mockups were generally
positive. The question is where to go from here. My idea would be to do
the following:

1. Set up a test page with Drupal and implement a theme for it which
resembles the mockup. I think Drupal would be a better choice than
Mediawiki, as it is much easier to make it feel like a "normal" site,
and not like a slightly mis-used wiki. On the win side is good
integration between the separate components of the site, e.g. due to
site-wide accounts (no separate forum account creation, for instance). A
separate Wiki (which is really labeled as such) can still be created.
(For instance, there is a MediaWiki plugin which uses the Drupal user
database for authentification.)

2. Migrate all content from the current webpage, thereby revising it and
remove out-dated data. The current forums could be kept as is, or all
posts migrated to a native Drupal forum.

3. When in an usable state, replace the old webpage with a new one.

I would be glad to experiment with this route if there are no major
objections.

Regards,
Denis Washington
