Initial Comment:
I was thinking a command-line would be useful. Basically, a
one/multi-line input widget with an 'evaluate' button,
for typing in commands and executing them on the fly
(in scheme, of course). The output would appear in a
scroll box or something like that, Basically like a
lisp interpreter on the shell.
