Another cool recursive scheme figure! Oh, by the way, I demonstrated the
feature to RMS at Solution Linux in Paris, he really likes the
feature:-)

What you want is just to draw Polygon. Polygon in DrGeo are only about
that, filling polygon area, they are not real object.

Se if Polygin fill your need.

I guess it just means Gimp can't display the image at scale 1:1 in full
screen window.

About the PNG export, note that it is a transparent image. I did that
choice because OpenOffice can adapt text around such a PNG image
according to the transparency area.
