dancing to sound! and torus rendering

unfortunately this is one thing i can't easily show you guys, while at the 
same time it's really mindblowing to watch.  a friend of mine here at V2 
wrote an XMMS plugin (XMMS is the WinAmp of Linux) which pumps VU-Meter data 
into a unix queuing system, and i read that information from there real-time.  
the fabrics dance to the music!  people i demo it to are going WOW.  i'm 
especially enjoying it with Philip Glass music.  any of you are welcome to 
run this, but it'll take a Linux machine, so i expect nobody's too 
interested.

what you can see on the website is a new version with a torus rendering for 
intervals.  there are now three rendering modes.  there's smooth cigar-shaped 
ellipsoid intervals, sharp double-tetrahedral ones (where you can really see 
their spin) and now torus (donut-shaped) intervals.  in the torus rendering 
you actually see what would be a donut around the intervals middle instead of 
the interval itself.  looks really cool.
