well, that's what test versions are for, i guess.

funny thing is, the problem lies in the fact that i reference another 
source for JOGL (which means i don't have to sign the jars with some 
made-up crypto key!).   maybe it's because the place it refers to is 
https://, which is impossible for some reason.  any ideas?  perhaps 
have your webstart throw up a java console to see what the core 
complaint is.
