Brian,

you've hit upon the reason that i've been working hard on a new
version. i built the version with the planet analogies and i thought
it was the coolest idea at the time, but soon afterwards i discovered
that it wasn't nearly as cool as i thought. there were a couple of
main problems: first, it's hard to find what you've built or
evolved, and second, you don't get to try out all the different kinds
of physics that you might want to try out.

the new version overcomes both of these problems by letting you
create your own folder for the creatures that you create or the ones
that you evolve. every creature is accessible to everybody for
viewing (that's important, for sharing) but only you can add
creatures or evolve other people's creatures further in your own
folder by logging in with a password.

if you're knowledgeable enough, you're welcome to check out the
source from CVS and run it locally on your own machine. otherwise
you can just wait a week or less until i'm able to get the new
version on the net. i think it'll be a lot easier to work with.

sorry about the inconveniences so far.. it's hard to design and build
something that's really usable, and i've made some mistakes with my
(however beautiful) planet analogy.

btw, the new version also allows for building movies based on POV-
Ray. take a look at these: http://www.beautifulcode.nl/fluidiom
