Re: Not able to install gnuplot succesfully

Yeah, don't mix building from source with using debs.  Do a dpkg purge
gnuplot, then make uninstall it.  Unless you really need the latest version
apt-get install gnuplot should work.  But the debs can be a year or more
old by the time they trickle through the stages of testing so it's almost
always a different version.
