Well then maybe test on another key to quit the loop like :

set print 'your_file.txt'
pause mouse key "Set point, click=validate, your key=[esc]\\n"
until ( MOUSE_KEY == your choice of escape key) {
print MOUSE_X, MOUSE_Y
pause mouse key
}

I don't remember why I used the first version. It was some time ago.
