I'm getting mixed up. When I selected a CRW and clicked the IPTC button, I
used to get a scary warning about how adding IPTC metadata may bugger up a
RAW file. Someone in the dpreview.com forums is now telling me the IPTC
data is written to the THM file if entered for a CRW. So I delve into the
help file to prove him wrong and find this:
"IMatch directly supports IPTC information embedded in JPEG, JFIF, CRW, TIF
and Photoshop (PSD) files. IMatch extracts the information contained in the
image and is also able to write the information back after editing."
So is he right? There's no problem with writing IPTC data to CRW files?
PS. Sorry if this has been covered...CRW and IPTC each return a zillion
hits from the message archives, and there doesn't seem to be any support
for boolean logic in searching.
