From what I see ALL viewing programs put an ini or similarly named file in a folder after "mapping it and it has been recognized. This is the place where that particular program "monitors" what is going on in the folder. Thumbs plus, Iview, Picasa all do it. I don't know about Imatch as I am not at a computer where it is installed. I THINK that imatch doesn't put an ini file in each folder because it's "monitoring" system is different. It builds a database. Just my 2c worth.
