Re: do searching in IM work for anyone?

Hi Markus,

I ceased using IMatch since my demo ran out, but I ran over to my
friend's computer to try it out. Actually, she was the one who
originally recommended IMatch, but never mind that!

It's painful to have to go over this territory again :( . Basically
the search works sometimes but doesn't work most of the time. Your
particular example works. Mine (in the original thread) does not, the
principal difference being that my example has one image assigned to
two categories. Moreover, searches with any degree of complexity
usually give totally non-sensical results, especially with regular
expressions.

Again, I'm not saying IMatch text searches don't work, just that they
work rather infrequently. In this respect, I am affirming the results
of the original poster, ktomeara.

Like virtually everyone else, I'm waiting with bated breath for
Version 4. The appearance of Picasa 2 has made me reconsider whether I
could tolerate using two programs to manage my images, even if Version
4 turns out to be vaporware.
