If you make the im forum your "home" then enough said.  Most folks have a life and use IM for a tool, not a religion.

  One of the things that I did was to make http://ptforum.photoolsweb.com/ "Home" 
  on my browser. One click and I am at the new forum. I can tell at a glance if 
  there are unread messages. While it is not all gain, it is far more gain then loss.
