Hi, Ned Categories and the image assignments are part of your database. If you have the categories, the assignments will also be there. The only thing I can image is that you made the following mistake: After opening the database on the new computer, IMatch correctly flagged all folders as off-line (because they are on a new system). Now, instead of using the "Relocate" command to tell IMatch that the folders have moved you did a rescan on the folders, thus removing the old images from your database and hence also the category assignments. Solution: Restore your backup database again and use the Relocate command to update the database with the new system. See the IMatch FAQ for more information: http://ptforum.photoolsweb.com Or http://www.photools.com/imatchfaq.php -- Mario -----Original Message----- From: Ned Bagno [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Montag, 31. Januar 2005 00:33 To: [email protected] Subject: [imatchuserforum] restoring image catagorys I reinstalled imatch on a different computer. I have all my images and my category list intact. However none of my images are in the category's they were previously assigned to. How do I get this information back? I do have the imatch database backup and a copy of the imatch folder so I am sure the information exists. Yahoo! Groups Links Yahoo!
