If users can easily find answers to their questions, that benefits other users 
because the same old question that was answered last week will not be asked.

A return to Yahoo could not be for "good". The bad would still exist. ;-)

I think that a much better plan would be to urge the developers of UBB.threads 
to finish their work on an email option. That would allow those who prefer the 
forum to have it their way and for those who prefer individual email messages to 
  have it their way.
