Thanks, Tim,

The problem was that I didn't have the unassigned category in my 
category list after creating my database, and I was trying to add a 
category named "@unassigned"  Too much inexperienced yet :-)  Now, 
fortunately, the problem is solved. Next I need to face is to create 
a tree category based on a taxonomic tree of species (animals, 
anyway!)  I guess that will be possible somehow.
