Re: Fw: forum guidelines/CoC/complaints

        I've had a reply from Krzysztof.  Unfortunately, he says he is no longer 
a good candidate for this position.  So if we still want to use this process for 
settling complaints, I guess we need to find someone else.

        So this goes kind of out of my hands.  I'm not sure what the process was 
to write the CoC.  But I guess we have to decide if we still want a single 
person with this responsibility.  And if so, who might be interested to do it.

        Personally, I think it's important  to have a documented process for 
settling complaints.  Whether it goes to one person, or some kind of team or 
panel, it's important to have it documented.

        But I'm not sure what the next step should be.

The board has a higher level of authority and power to deal with
structural or staff problems than the CoC contact point does.

Could you email him offlist and ask first?  I don't know if he has
training in this area myself.  IIRC he had felt we needed to have a
specific name included in the CoC to make the role concrete, and was
willing to serve as that name.

It would certainly be useful to know if there are other community
members with training/experience in this area, and if they'd be
interested in serving in a formal role with the project.  With the new
forum coming online, this could be a convenient point in time to
transition if it makes sense.
