Customizing the Rex X in the color palette that changes the fill?

I've tried out a few different themes as outlined here: https://medium.com/@ole.ersoy/installing-inkscape-icon-themes-on-ubuntu-af3ebce3352d None of them change the little red X in the color palette that switches off the fill.
