Convert line vertices to marks

I open vector ipe file (output from pdftoipe) and want to apply ipelet function that operates on marks.

One way to do this is to open ipe XML file and replace paths to marks in couple of steps.
Better way is to make XSL transformation which would require some thinking, but best would be if ipe allows converting polyline vertices to marks.

Is there any way to do this inside ipe?
