unix and mng composer

Hello,

I've searched all pages of http://www.libmng.com/pub/mng/index.html
but haven't found an mng composer for unix (solaris 9). (it's probably there
but there is so much information that I can't find it!).

I want to make a dot blink so all I want to do is put two pngs ('on' and 'off') 
together (one png is a world map of earthquakes - dots- and the second
png is the one earthquake which blinks).
That's all I want. 
So I'm looking for a composer which can be started at the command line with a 
time option. 

All hints and links are appreciated!
